Quiet day listening to Wilson chittering outside my window…
I had to read up on hummingbirds nesting habits and am excited to see what happens. It should take about two weeks or so before babies hatch.
Been trying to find a routine for the last few days. Haven’t found it yet, other than when I do get up, I brush my teeth, make my bed and have a cup of coffee. The rest of the day has been somewhat loosy-goosy. I’ve tried organizing here and there. You can only organize so much in a small apartment, though. You can only clean so much, too. I go online and read the latest news, check social media, share a few funny memes.
But now, Wilson is hanging out in the tree outside my living room window in her little nest. She flies off for a little bit, but then she’s back, sitting, waiting. We’re sitting and waiting together, though, I feel her waiting period will end sooner than mine…
I didn’t watch the Grammys earlier this year, but I heard about Demi Lovato’s performance. It was her first live performance since her hospitalization from an overdose in 2018 and it was powerful. I thought it worth sharing tonight in the midst of this continuing isolation. We’re all reaching out. Is anyone listening?
