Day Two: You’ll Never Walk Alone

Ok, so now that I’ve started this… 😳 No guarantees… but I will try to post daily…

Got an email from Marcus Mumford… Yes, from Mumford & Sons… No, he didn’t send it to me personally (but wouldn’t that be cool…) At any rate, he shared a song that he though appropriate for the times and I thought I’d share it here.

Interestingly, there were several countries that shared this song, the version sung by Gerry & the Pacemakers from back in the day, yesterday as a show of solidarity in the face of this pandemic and I thought I’d bring it stateside…

I remember singing this song in high school choir, also back in the day. I sang in choir for all of my junior high and high school years. We competed at various interscholastic competitions in Texas. My senior year, we actually got a 1A rating in choir competition for our region and I remember celebrating with my best friends, Debbie Cathy and Quinn Boardman along with our choir director, Garland Jarvis. Sadly, two of those people are no longer with us. There are bittersweet twinges felt as I think of those days.

Fast forward to today…whoa, head rush…no, wait… that was the old fashioned…

At any rate, here is Marcus Mumford sharing this song because, as he said, it feels like the right time to get it out. We’re in this together…
