Today's devotional deals with "God's Most Successful Setback." As I read the devotional, I thought, "I must be one of His success stories, too, with all the setbacks in my life." Granted, many of those setbacks were of my own making… but God has been faithful throughout.
And this is God’s way for us too. We are promised glory — if we will suffer with him (Romans 8:17). The way up is down. The way forward is backward. The way to success is through divinely appointed setbacks. They will always look and feel like failure.
For all those times that I felt like a failure… God was working in the background… for my good… and for His glory.
