We’re at that stage of the holiday season where it seems time is running out (on what, I’m not sure…) and a vague sort of panic is setting in. What the panic is about, I’m not sure either. I just know I’m feeling stressed, even though my intention this year was to let go of the stress and the panic and focus on Christ rather than Christmas.
The play is in its final stretch and we’re all just barely hanging on. Illness has plagued the cast the last few weeks and we are tired. I guess that adds to the stress that has set in.
Was looking for a song for tonight and found Sufjan. He always provides a new perspective for my weary mind to wrap itself around and in the process, I find the stress dissipating. I find Christmas in the room.
