So, I’m now residing in Southern California. Well, I’m living with my daughter and son-in-law in Southern California. I’m staying with them until I can get acquainted with the area and can find a place of my own. I have a job where I will be working soon. Have a couple of days to get boxes sorted out and get settled in, figuring out new dynamics of living in a new area with a new job. With all the settling in, I’ve not really been able to focus on songs to share, so am again off track. Such has been the case this year…
I know I’ve shared this song before, but it’s what came to mind tonight as I thought of what to share. Then, it came out of a dark time and was a reminder to me of hope for the future. Now, it’s doing the same. It’s reminding me that the dark night that has been the past four years is over and I’m still breathing and there’s another chance to start over.
It’s also the beginning of the Fall season. I love Fall, with the cooler mornings and evenings that make you go rummaging through your closet looking for the sweaters and jackets. I remember reading an article from John Piper on making Autumn resolutions; taking time to examine your life at this time of year and making “resolves for good.”
Forget New Years. Fall is really the best time for starting over… again.
