Happy Mother’s Day! I had a lovely day with my daughter and family. The day began with my grandson, Maseo, waking me up and then bringing me a hot cup of coffee, sweetened perfectly with just the right amount of creamer. What a special way to begin the day. We then got ready for church and it was especially meaningful with powerful worship and good fellowship after. We headed back to the house to prepare for the family gathering and, as always, there was food and a great time spent talking and laughing and just enjoying one another.
All too soon, I had to leave and make my way back home. And so I sit here at home, thinking back through the day and the weekend and smiling at all the special memories and joy that motherhood has brought me. I am blessed.
My daughter shared this song with me a while back and I’m sharing it with you now. The lyrics speak to so many times in my life where I’ve found myself in deep water and going under and God has taken hold of me and saved me from the circumstances, from myself. This child I call daughter is my greatest testament to His saving me from myself and bringing great good out of great difficulty. I said I was blessed…
