365 Day Project-Day 117-Whom Shall I Fear

Spent a lovely weekend with my daughter and grandsons.  My son-in-law was away for the weekend, so I decided to go down and help with the boys.  We had a blast, from miniature golf and arcade games at Mountasia, to bouncing balls along the side of the house, to visiting and eating with family.  And I got to snuggle with little Rhett…  Bliss.

This morning, Matt got home early enough to pick up the two older boys and take them to church to help set up, leaving Mandy, me and the baby to get ready in peace.  Once we were ready, we buckled Rhett into the car and headed off to church, stopping by Starbucks on the way.  It was a great message, it was a hard message about creating Shalom where we are, showing compassion to all around us, about being Christ to all with whom we come in contact.  It was hard in that it was convicting to me.  I’m selfish and biased and opinionated; not the best combination to show love to a hurting world around me.  God is working on these areas, I know.  He is using me, in spite of myself.  I must need let Him.

We sang this song during worship.  A reminder to me, that He’s the One in charge and He is for me.

Selah.
