Speaking of Roku… I think I mentioned that I subscribed to Hulu Plus which gives me access to all sorts of shows. I also mentioned that I’m really excited having discovered all these British detective series. I mentioned the Endeavor series. Actually that was on Netflix, but it’s all because of Roku, remember? At any rate, there’s also Inspector Lewis and Inspector Morse. Well, they’re both from Netflix, too… But, moving on, there’s Vera, Whitechapel, Luther. Those ARE from Hulu Plus. Nevertheless, I have reveled in the lot of them.
Tonight I caught up on a couple of episodes of Luther, starring Idris Elba. He is so lovely to look at… Oh, yes, I caught up on a couple of episodes, two from the end of season one. the first of the two episodes was quite heartbreaking. Zoe dies (sorry, spoiler alert…) and Luther is bereft, yet he can’t be that for long because he’s been framed to make it look like he killed her (I said spoiler alert!!).
The song that played during his discovery of her body was perfect, of course, and I had to find out who was singing. Shazam to the rescue and it’s Sia! Of course! Who else could sing so poignantly at such a time as this and the words. just. kill you. If you knew Luther and Zoe’s relationship, you’d understand what I mean and you’d be sobbing, too.
