Seems everyone I’ve talked with lately has lost someone. Two people I know lost brothers. One of them lost a father as well. Someone else lost an uncle; another a father. Another friend is losing a husband. It has been a hard season. As I’ve thought about all this loss I was reminded of a song I heard years ago that was sung at a funeral of someone I didn’t know personally but whose music I loved. He didn’t write this song, but I associate it with him, nonetheless. The song spoke to my hurting heart then, it spoke to me again when I listened to it the other day.
We do cry “why?” Our hearts hurt and we weep. But somewhere down the road, there is Someone with the answers. Keep on walking. He’s there.
