Wicked Pinterest

Ok… so I was on Pinterest… again, and I saw this pin of a video from So You Think You Can Dance… and I decided to check it out, so I clicked on the pin and found myself mesmerized by this amazingly choreographed performance, but I was completely enthralled by the song.  Before we go on, I must say a couple of things.  First, that I have a MASSIVE crush on Chris Isaak.  I’ve had a massive crush on him for years, and I particularly love his song, Wicked Game.  Not sure what it is about that man… the voice, that gorgeous crooked nose, those dreamy eyes… he makes me melt.  And that song… [shiver] don’t get me started…

Second, I love dance.  I love the flow, the movement, the bodies.  I danced all through college, taking classes and performing in music theater.  I loved rehearsing and performing.  It was hard.  Dance is hard, but I loved it.  I look at these performers and I love the lines and the movement and the flow and I want to do that.  I want to feel that flow and that movement that looks so effortless, but requires such hard work to achieve.  My body is not as limber and definitely not as lithe as it once was, but it remembers.  I love dance.

Anyway, this dance was performed to that song sung by someone NOT Chris Isaak.  I had to look the song up and I decided I needed to share the dance and the song as performed by this artist (sorry, Chris, my love…).  Of course, I now need a cold shower after watching this dance and listening to this song…

Here’s the full song by James Vincent McMorrow.
