Today is my grandson, Maseo's 5th Birthday. I can't believe five years have already passed since the day I first held him in my arms; I remember it like it was yesterday (cliched, but it's true). He is amazing to me. He was riding a Razor scooter at the age of 2, riding a bicycle WITHOUT training wheels at 3. There is no fear in this child (though he has inherited his grandmother's fear of spiders, and rightly so…). He laughs and makes me laugh. He torments his younger brother. His younger brother cries. They make up and then run off to play together. Mom is kept busy keeping up with them. I love him and am my heart melts when he calls me Gaga. He is my grandson, Maseo.
I thought of this song by one of my favorites, Rod Stewart, when trying to come up with a song today and it's appropriate. So, this song is for you, Maseo. Happy Birthday!!
