Tonight was the last track workout for the NSJV (Northern San Joaquin Valley) Summer Team of TeamInTraining. We will hit the streets this coming Sunday for the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & Half Marathon. We’ve been working out since February and all the training we’ve endured, all the early morning runs at Knight’s Ferry and Dry Creek and Manteca, the sweat, the aches and pains, the wondering “what was I thinking??” will culminate in seeing the finish line in San Diego. I’m excited and nervous. I’ve been on the verge of tears lately as I’m realizing “This is it!” When I cross that line, I’ll be a MARATHONER!
I was looking on Itunes and found this song by Gym Class Heroes and when I heard it, I KNEW it was PERFECT for starting the countdown to San Diego!! Here’s to you, Summer Team! See you at the finish line. Go TEAM!!!
