I heard this song this evening and reminded me of a cassette that Mandy received from a friend at the end of her 8th grade year. We were moving to the Central Valley from the Bay Area and she was dealing with the transition, leaving friends and school and all that she had known for a new home, a new school, and so many unknowns. I remember her playing that cassette over and over that summer.
To be honest, this song wasn’t on that cassette, but it reminded me of that cassette that I’m pretty sure is tucked somewhere around here in some box or closet; a memory of a transitional time…
