I heard this song driving home this afternoon after spending the weekend with my grandsons. They make me smile, I love them so. They’re growing up so fast; each time I see them, I marvel at how much more they know and how well Uriah can talk (he’ll be 3 in March, while big brother, Maseo, will be 5 in July!). It’s so much fun to see them be brothers, loving one another one minute and then fighting with one or the other ending up crying the next. I say it’s fun, because at this point they’re just minor scuffles and they do say sorry after. Mandy and I marvel, too, at how different raising boys is from raising girls. But we love it. I’m smiling now as I think of them.
I listened to this song on the way home. I love it. It reminds me of so many wonderful verses:
1 Corinthians 15:1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand,
Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
It’s my prayer for my baby boys. I pray they grow up into men who love the Lord and by His Grace will stand in His righteousness.
