I just read John Piper’s post about his granddaughter who was due Sunday, September 23, but delivered stillborn on the 22nd.
My heart broke as I read it. I just spent this past weekend with my 2 month old grandson and was enthralled with him the entire time. It is the most amazing feeling when you hold a baby, but knowing it is your grandchild… words can’t describe it.
So, when I read that the Pipers lost their granddaughter, I cried. Keep the family in your prayers during this hard time, especially Molly, the mother. After carrying this blessing for nine months, to lose her when she was so close to delivery is a heartbreak I can’t even imagine.
